Nigel and I met in the summer of 2017 on Tinder when he was in California visiting his best friend. When we first started dating, we kind of fudged that bit of the story so we wouldn’t get judgement of being in a relationship without having actually met face to face. Two weeks later we started dating, and about two months into our relationship, Nigel flew out to spend the weekend with me and it was the best weekend of my life. We clicked and bonded and grew closer than I ever imagined possible. We stayed long distance and Nigel came to see me again in December and I went out for a whole month in January of 2018. We had been together for four months and this was when Nigel proposed. We kept it a secret because we hadn’t been together for very long and didn’t want to hear what everyone would have to say about it. We moved in together in March of that year and have been living together ever since. We announced our engagement in August of 2019. We didn't meet in the most traditional of ways and we may have taken things a little quickly, but I wouldn’t change anything about the way our story has unfolded. Our love has only grown stronger over the years and I can’t wait to see how it grows.
