Our Story
Macomb Comm. College: Alex made his way to "History of Michigan," where he hoped to gain knowledge on the state. While he forgot most of that, he remembered Janelle, the girl that sat to his left, one seat up. Separating after class, Janelle went on to receive an associate in education. Alex graduated Texas A&M, commissioned into the Air Force, and was stationed in SD.
The two reconnected via social media. Text about fitness turned to talks about jobs, families, and interests, which turned to calls and facetimes, discussing hopes and dreams. Janelle flew to SD in October of 2020. From there, the two have faced good and bad; challenging times; victories and defeat. They endured a pandemic, overcame distances, traveled across county, navigated new jobs, and conquered fear of the unknown. Alex and Janelle may forget some adventures they've had but will remember their wedding day where instead of sitting seats apart, they'll stand face to face and step forward into their new life together.
