Question

How & when should I rsvp?

Answer

To RSVP, please click the RSVP tab here on our website and type in your name. All invited guests in your party will appear here for you to mark as "attending" or "declining." Please be sure to RSVP no later than May 18th, 2025. If you do not RSVP in time, we will assume that you are unable to attend.

Where will the wedding be taking place?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be taking place at Havisham House & Bourbon Bar in Alto Pass, IL.

Where should I park?

Answer

There is parking available on both sides of the streets in front of Havisham House (Main & Walnut Streets). Across the road, guests are also welcome to park in the gravel lot at Walker Funeral Home.

When should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony starts promptly at 4:30pm, so we ask that all guests please plan to arrive by 4:15pm at the latest to find their seats for the ceremony. If you plan to arrive early, feel free to grab a drink in the Bourbon Bar before the ceremony!

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally listed on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal attire. We suggest that men wear a suit or dress shirt with tie and women wear an evening gown or midi / knee-length cocktail dress. No jeans, please.

Is there transportation from the hotel to the venue and back?

Answer

Yes, there is! We will be providing an open bar along with signature cocktails, so we want everyone to be safe! We will have multiple shuttles running on a loop to take guests from the hotel to the venue, and then back again at the end of the night. If you are staying elsewhere, we suggest Uber or Lyft. If you choose to drive, there is plenty of space to park near our venue!

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

While we love your kids, the venue does have a limited capacity. Invitations will be specific and include the names of the children who have been invited.

Will the wedding be outside?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony will take place outdoors. Please dress accordingly, and fans will be provided for guests to use throughout the ceremony. The cocktail hour will take place in and around the Bourbon Bar, which is air-conditioned. The reception will take place in the wedding pavilion which will also be temperature controlled.
