Farmers' Market on The Square
Check out one of the best farmers' markets in the country and don't forget to try a loaf of the spicy cheesy bread from Stella's Bakery on the corner! You can also get a free tour of the Capitol Building while you're there.
State Street
Take a stroll down State Street and visit some of the local shops and restaurants along the way. We recommend a brat & a beer at State Street Brats!
Memorial Union Terrace
Take in the lake with the best view on campus and have a pitcher of Spotted Cow (you're a local!). They even have boat rentals if you want to try your hand at sailing!

If you know anything about Todd & Susie, you know they're ZOO PEOPLE! And what's better than a zoo? A FREE zoo! Come see what the Henry Vilas Zoo has to offer and don't forget to hi to it's happiest & fiercest residents, Kaminsky & Dekker (the badgers, not the humans).

Olbrich Botanical Gardens
Stroll 16 acres of outdoor gardens featuring stunning landscapes and Midwest-hardy plants. Once again, admission is free! Isn't Wisconsin great?

Taste of Madison
Held since 1983, the Taste is Madison Festivals flagship event, with over 80 restaurants, 3 entertainment stages, 27 beverage stands, and THIS YEAR Lambeau Field Live drawing over 250,000 to the Capitol Square over Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend.
