We are so excited to get married and we hope that you will be able to join us! We know destination weddings are expensive and we are taking time away from your home and family. Your presence is the greatest present and we hope to have our closest family and friends surround us on the best day of our lives! From Susie's POV: I had just graduated from A&M (December 2015) and my parents were in Mexico for the Holidays and I hosted a New Years Eve party at my parents house (sorry mom and dad!) and a mutual friend (Hi G LO) asked if he could invite a friend to the party. I said sure. And then Carlos came - yay! We lost touch for almost a year and saw each other at a Friendsgiving in November of 2016 and then officially started dating in January of 2017.
We had both been stressed out with work and life and renovating our house and Carlos had a moment of "let's just book a nice vacation" and so we booked a vacation to Puerto Vallarta. I kind of thought he was proposing but I helped him pack and didn't see a ring - so I had already made up my mind that it wasn't happening hahaha. Our first day at the resort , we swam, ate, read, drank and relaxed. Then, we had dinner reservations so we went back to our room to get ready. Our dinner reservation was a later one so Carlos said "Let's go down to see the beach before dinner" because we hadn't been all the way down yet. I had taken a hair shower (important) so I was taking a little longer to get ready and Carlos got a little antsy and said "Are you coming or not" LOL - so I was like OK why is she in such a hurry. So then we got down to the beach and were like "Aw wow, how pretty". Then we tried to take some selfies and this kind gentleman offered to take a pic of us so we said sure. Then as I was reviewing the pictures this kind stranger had taken on my phone, I looked up and saw Carlos was on on one knee. Then, I saw he hired a photographer. Then, we had the best vacation ever. So sweet. Love you, Carlitos!
