I was out at the Doral Ale House with my best friend Veronica and her sister Victoria watching a Miami Heat playoff game. While we got to the restaurant early enough to secure a table, by the time Andy and his friends arrived everything was packed and they could not find seating. Sure enough, Victoria eyed the group of guys standing near the table and soon after one of Andy's friends comes to our table and asks if they could sit with us in exchange for some drinks. We agreed and Andy sat next to me. While we were friendly, nothing really sparked for us that night. It wasn't until a month of hanging out and finally a trip to Six Flags Atlanta that resulted in our first kiss. And we've been hooked ever since <3
If you know me, you know I love Christmas and surprises. So imagine my joy when one of the gifts given to me at Nena's (Andy's mom) house during Christmas Eve was a huge box. At that time, we had already planned to open gifts with both our parents the following morning so I kept the box but did not open it. Its important to note that she gave it to both of us so I thought it was a gift for the house. Well Christmas day comes and Nena and my mom arrive to our house for brunch and gifts but the brunch part took 3 hours which was perfect because it gave time for my dad to arrive from work. After all this time I had lost my curiosity for the box but finally it was my turn to open it. Much to my surprise Andy and his mom placed ten perfectly wrapped boxes inside of each other filled with packaging material. After 9 minutes of opening box after box I finally got to the most perfect box of all. I was so nervous at that point (I started thinking this could be IT 5 boxes before) that when I opened the ring box I dropped the ring inside all the packing peanuts (insert freak out reaction). When Andy fished out my ring and got down on one knee I thought my heart would explode. All dreams came true at that moment and nothing else mattered. Later, after a lot of kissing, hugging, crying, and screaming we realized I never verbally said yes so we did another proposal where I, 100 times, said YES!
