The dress code for the Ceremony and Reception is black-tie (long gowns and tuxes). The Welcome Event is cocktail attire (dress jackets and slacks, knee-length or midi dresses or jumpsuits).
Yes! For guests staying at the Intercontinental Hotel or Canopy Hotel, a bus will be departing from the Intercontinental at 8:00pm for the Welcome Party in Old Town Alexandria. The bus will take guests back to the Intercontinental at 9:45pm and 11:00pm.
On Friday evenings, metered street parking is tough to come by. The following parking garages are located nearby: -Hotel Indigo - 220 S Union Street (Colonial Parking Site #887) -Robinson Landing - 320 Strand Street (Colonial Parking Site #1007) -The Strand Lot - 206 Strand Street -Duke Street Square Parking - 101 Duke Street
Yes! We will have 3 sprinter vans to pick up guests from the Intercontinental Hotel at 3:45pm. After the ceremony, the vans will take guests back to the Hotel for the Reception in 2 trips. If you’d prefer not to wait, here is our Uber Event Code for a discount: https://r.uber.com/rbawakiyfum
Parking is very limited around the church. We recommend Ubering or carpooling.
Yes! Overnight valet parking is $65. Regular valet parking is $35. There is also lots of public parking but prices may vary.
Our ceremony at Holy Rosary will end by 5:15pm and our Cocktail Hour/Reception will start at 6pm at the Intercontinental at the Wharf. Take this window to freshen up or grab a drink beforehand!
We sadly can't accommodate your little ones at our wedding. We hope that won't be an inconvenience for you. Take this as a night off and enjoy!
