Located at the tip of the peninsula, the battery is bordered by the Ashley and Cooper Rivers, which meet here to form the Charleston harbor. It's an easy walk along the water admiring the large estates and ends at White Point Garden, a beautiful park shaded by large, Spanish moss covered oak trees. Check it out, we know you'll love it!

Thought to be one of the oldest living things east of the Mississippi River, the Angel Oak has had hundreds of years to grow both out and up. Today, it stands 65 feet high and boasts a canopy providing over 17,000 square feet of shade. Many of its limbs are the size of tree trunks themselves, and weigh so much that they now rest on the ground. Some even drop underground for a few feet and then breach the surface again!
