You can access the city from both airports with relative ease. Midway is slightly closer to the city than O'Hare and it is slightly smaller than O'Hare. This comes with the benefit of being easier to navigate, but also means there are likely less flights to choose from.
There are several convenient ways to reach The Peninsula from the airport: 1. Taxi or Rideshare - A car ride takes approximately 30–60 minutes, depending on traffic. Follow signs in the terminal to locate the taxi or rideshare pick up zone. 2. Public Transit (CTA) - 45 minutes: Follow signs in the terminal for CTA. Take the orange line (note: the train only travels in one direction, so no need to fear accidentally traveling in the wrong direction). Transfer from the orange to the red line at Lake Street. The walk to the hotel will be three city blocks. *This is the most economical option (and at times the quickest) but requires navigating transfers and handling luggage.*

Chicago weather in March can be unpredictable. It will likely be chilly, with temperatures ranging typically between mid-30s to mid-50s °F. While the wedding will be indoors, there is always a chance of rain or wind, so we recommend dressing in layers, coats, and boots for any site-seeing or outdoor exploring over the weekend.
The dress code is black tie. This means tuxedos or well-tailored dark suits with a tie for men and floor length gowns for women. While we’d like you to have fun with it, get a little fancy, and feel fabulous, most important is that you can be with us to celebrate. No fashion police, we promise!
