How did you know we were dreaming of those crystal champagne flutes?! They’re by far the most beautiful glasses in our home and we’ve never felt fancier. You’ll have to come over soon so we can toast to you! So excited to see you in June.

Some places we've enjoyed to visit in the area, and some places to get good food for Friday night/Saturday morning and midday! 

NB: for those staying in Westport proper, a reservation for Friday dinner might be a good idea.

The ocean is one of the best parts of being in Westport! Enjoy the water and maybe look for some seashells or cool rocks - we often do. Handy ramps down to the beachfront.

Horseneck Beach

Mini golf, bumper boats, a driving range - all part of an excellent day.

Caddy Shack

You need to call ahead for an appointment, but this vintage store is AMAZING - often furnishing costumes for movies - and not expensive, to boot! Josh got his newsie cap here, and Susanna enjoyed seeing actress Téa Leoni on her way out.

Circa Vintage Wear

Whale skeletons, a full-scale replica sailing ship, scrimshaw art, and more! This place is both informative and genuinely interesting, a rare balance to achieve.

New Bedford Whaling Museum

In case you're itching to sink an ace or two.... Josh saw people playing cricket here!

UMass Dartmouth Disc Golf Course

We've enjoyed identifying weird mushroom species along this walk! Several different paths so you can choose your own duration, and well-maintained. NB: stairs!

Dunham's Brook Conservation Area - a pleasant walk

Josh and I recommend stopping by the Bayside Restaurant first to pick up food (see below), then coming out to Gooseberry Island to enjoy this beautiful beach spot! Dogs welcome, swimming allowed but the beach is rocky.

Gooseberry Island Hike

Delicious fresh produce and baked goods, beautiful crafts, and often live music from 9am-1pm on Saturdays! Susanna had a lemon meringue sourdough donut here that was divine...

Westport Summer Farmers Market

Fringe umbrellas by the water - the eggplant fries are particularly delicious!

The Bayside Restaurant

A more casual seafood option at the pier - fresh from the sea!

Westport Sea Farms

It's worth leaving the state for the brunch at this cozy barn!

The Barn Restaurant

We can't exactly recommend staying here (!!!) though it's reasonably convenient to the location - but this is an interesting, if eerie, place to visit.

Lizzie Borden House (A Bed and Breakfast & Museum)

A very cool maritime museum with two actual ships and a submarine that you can explore!
