We are moving forward with our scheduled September 5, 2021 wedding! Due to COVID, there may be additional safety protocols and we will keep you updated on those.

We first met during our graduate orientation at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. We quickly became friends and during our first semester, we sat next to each other during Physical Organic Chemistry. Ryan once told me that after our first conversation, he made a note of the different university tours I was attending and happened to "run into" me at each destination.

We had been on many "friend dates" and "fancy dinner nights", but our first official date was at John Davenport's in New Haven. As the only diners in the restaurant that night, we watched a lightning storm over the New Haven Green from the 19th floor of the Omni hotel while sipping cocktails.

During our annual beach vacation in Ocean City, NJ, we went on a sunset walk along the water. After multiple nervous exchanges about how nice the weather was that night, we came across a quiet stretch of unoccupied beach. I got down on one knee and Susan interjected with an excited, "yes!" before I could finish proposing.
