I would have been a different person if it wasn’t for his friendship and loyalty. Thanks for being brutally honest but always caring for me, know that as your good friend, I will always challenge you and want the best for you.

My Peruvian sister. Met back in grad school at Rowan through a mutual friend, although we are very different, we get each other. I have seen Andrea grow into a better more open minded person throughout the years and that’s commendable. Thank you for taking me to Africa, being my travel buddy, my adventurous buddy, and always listening to my feedback even with my poor delivery. You get me, I get you, we care about each other and that’s more than enough to call you one of my best friends.

The sweetest most outgoing woman I know. Met her alongside Victor and since then we’ve been each other’s cheerleaders. We have seen each other’s struggles in different ways but we continue to rise from adversity. I love your spirit, the way you show love to everyone and how generous you have always been. Kat just has such a good aura, she often puts herself before others, maybe it’s the primogenita in her so we can relate but know that what you do for others doesn’t go unnoticed. Taylor is my first little in my sorority, kind of like a mentee in sisterhood world. She is one of those people you just see kindness and love when you are with her. She is a breath of fresh air that reminds you there are really great people in your life and you become grateful to experience such a beautiful soul. I met my brother from another mother over 30 years ago, and since then, he has been family. He’s generous, always willing to help, and even on his days off, he takes the time to be there when I need him. I’m glad I got him into some of the things I love, like fishing and paintballing—and kayaking, even though he’d probably say I almost drowned him once! We grew up together, witnessing each other’s ups and downs, and have seen our growth as men.

I met him through my cousin over 10 years ago, and over time, we’ve become like brothers. He’s loyal, genuine, and generous—just an all-around great person to be around. We’ve shared plenty of good times over Heinekens, and I’ve watched his daughters and family grow. We’ve never argued and have always had each other’s backs. I even got to witness him catch his first fish. He knows me well, listens without judgment, and is someone I can always count on.
