A favorite St Charles County park, covering 603 acres. There are terrific playgrounds, trails for hiking and biking, swimming/ wading and fishing in the creek, a lookout tower, and many picnic areas. This is a beautiful park. Our St Charles County Parks are wonderful! Admission is free. Indian Camp Creek is 6 miles from our wedding venue.
Very popular petting zoo. This is less than 15 miles from the wedding venue. Admission is $12.00 age 13 and over and $10 age 2-12. Kids under two have free admission.
Gorgeous lavender farm- and other flowers too! It is open Wednesday through Saturday. There is a coffee shop and cafe and a boutique featuring handmade body and home care products (think everything lavender). I recommend the Iced Lavender Mocha! Yummmmmmm! Long Row Lavender is 17 miles West of our wedding venue, Echo Creek.
One of the best zoos in the world- and it’s FREE!!! It really is amazing! It is in St Louis in our beloved Forest Park, also home of The Muny, the St Louis Art Museum, the Saint Louis Science Center, the Missouri History Museum.
We Love Forest Park!! Forest Park opened in 1876 and was the home of the 1904 World’s Fair. It is the home of the St Louis Art Museum, the St Louis Science Center, the MO History Museum, the St Louis Zoo and The Muny. It covers 1300 acres, has paved trails, golf courses, lakes, fountains and best of all, it is where Kevin proposed to Susan! This happened on September 14, 2024 at the lake at the bottom of Art Hill. 🥰 Forest Park is in the city of St Louis 40 miles east of our wedding venue.
City Museum is one of the coolest places we have ever been! Lots of awesome things to see, play on, crawl through. It is an artist built indoor, outdoor, and underground playground built in an old shoe factory in Downtown St. Louis. Pro tip: bring knee pads. Cost is between $12 and $18 depending on specials, coupons, etc. and it is 44 miles east of our wedding venue.
