We're Getting Married

This is the story of "invisible fireworks", or, Karl and Susan's first date. Like most couples these days, Karl and Susan met on Hinge, a popular online dating site. He immediately adored her confident approach to life and she fell in love with his sense of humor. They had their first date at the Mission Rock Resort in San Francisco. For those who don't know, the venue of their first date also happens to be the site of the new Golden State Warriors stadium. Back then, the stadium was nothing more than a heavy construction zone. Sitting over the water enjoying glasses of wine, Karl and Susan were startled by loud cracking sounds. Karl used the opportunity to tell Susan it was the "invisible fireworks" show he had bought them for their first date. Although Susan knew better, it gave her an ear to ear smile, warmed her heart, and became the moment in the couple's history that started it all.

Karl and Susan first exchanged "I love you's" at Bix, a favorite restaurant of theirs in San Francisco, CA. Over dinner they shared a bottle of Robert Keenan Cabernet. They loved the wine so much that they traveled up to the vineyard in St. Helena, CA, and joined the wine club! Making countless memories sharing this wine over the years, Karl felt there was no better place to propose. He enlisted Nikki's help hiding the ring from her Mom, a very stressful task over the next few weeks, and an even bigger secret to keep (she did a great job)! In front of the wine cave at their favorite vineyard, Karl got down on one knee and said "Susan, we fell in love drinking this wine, how would you like to spend the rest of your life drinking it with me?" She said yes, then Nikki jumped out from behind a wine barrel and the waterworks began, along with a journey that they can't wait to officially begin among friends and family in Paso Robles. We look forward to seeing you all there!
