We met on match.com, both unsure if we’d ever meet the right one. We spent a couple weeks just chatting, getting to know one another before meeting in person. We had our first date on March 17, 2021, St. Patty’s Day. We laughed and joked for hours. Laughter and joy have always been the center of our relationship. We’ve had some major ups and downs, but have always fought for each other, and we’ve come out stronger. The day Dave proposed was an absolutely beautiful day. We had gone camping for the weekend. The campsite was put up, and we had made our way down to the lake to do some fishing. Dave kept telling me he was getting stuck on something in the water. I went to reel his line in. When I got it out of the water, his ring was on the end. I turned around to him down on one knee with my ring in his hands. It was a beautiful, magical moment.
