Together, we grow

Susan met Dan through a mutual friend, Jordan, who just happens to work for Dan and be married to Susan’s brother Robert’s best friend, Thomas. (Keeping up so far?) While celebrating Robert’s birthday, Jordan casually asked Susan how dating was going. Susan responded honestly: she was officially done with dating and mentally preparing for a full sleeve tattoo and a lifetime surrounded by cats. Jordan, wisely intervening before the tattoo needle hit skin, suggested Susan meet her boss, Dan. Without hesitation, Jordan created a group chat that read: “Dan, meet Susan. Susan, meet Dan. The two of you are mature, thoughtful adults with significant life experience and a limited capacity for bullshit. At the very least, I think you will be able to enjoy one, if not two, cocktails with one another. Proceed as you see fit!” The rest, as they say, is history. (Although Susan did still get herself two cats… which later became a small army.) Since that fateful introduction, Dan and Susan have loved blending their families and making memories together. From family trips to Daytona Beach to visit Robert, to exploring Universal Studios (and Harry Potter World!), to an unforgettable adventure in New Zealand where they learned how hobbits really live, they’ve embraced every chance to explore. They’ve also taken their two youngest on a magical Disneyland trip, where they introduced each other to some very important people in their lives (hi Hilary, hi Al!). Now, with four children and four cats (yes, officially a small army), Dan and Susan are excited to continue building a life full of laughter, adventure, and love and with many more trips, stories, and cocktails ahead.
