This budget friendly option is the closet motel to our land. They are on Highway 12 in east Santa Rosa. Glen Guthrie (our land) is on Somerville Rd., which is off of Melita Rd. north of Highway 12, just a little further east of town. Jeffrey's Hillside Cafe is one of the best breakfast spots in Santa Rosa. Some rooms in this mid-century motel have efficiency apartments, and from the photos on their website, the rooms were recently renovated. It is clean and comfortable. They have a small pool.

Courtyard Santa Rosa
The Courtyard Marriott is close to Railroad Square in downtown in Santa Rosa, walking distance to lots of cool coffee shops, restaurants, and shops. They have a pool. It takes about 20 minutes to drive to the land from downtown Santa Rosa, including the ride up our mountain.

Hotel La Rose
This renovated historic hotel is in Railroad Square in downtown Santa Rosa, just a block away from the Courtyard Marriott Santa Rosa. It's quaint and has its own courtyard with a new wing of rooms. The hotel charges for parking and breakfast is not included, despite the fact that Google says breakfast and parking are paid. (I guess that means you pay!)

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Santa Rosa Sonoma
This hotel is brand new, just off the 101, pet friendly, and has a pool and hot tub. They offer free breakfast, but charge $10 for parking. As the address suggests, they are in a retail/industrial area. Quaint it's not, but you're close to Costco!

Astro Motel
The hotel website is https://www.theastro.com. This renovated mid-century modern motel near downtown Santa Rosa and Railroad Square is not in the greatest neighborhood, but they have a cool walled garden and lounge for guests to use, free parking and free breakfast each morning. The rooms have been outfitted with vintage modern furniture, and some bathrooms have been updated. It is run by the owners of the Spinster Sisters, a great local restaurant. Many of our wedding guests are staying here. I believe one or two rooms might still be available. Give the Astro a call and see.
