We are both originally from Illinois. We met through mutual friends at Hawthorne Race Track at a Regional Convention (back then they were District Conventions lol)
We will live in Oregon. The wedding is in South Carolina.
We’ve put together a registry linked here. https://www.zola.com/wedding/susanandadam2026/registry Since one of us will be moving across the country lol, monetary gifts are also deeply appreciated and help reduce the need to move extra items. If you’d like to give that way, just go to the registry and at the top click on “Newlywed Fund” icon to complete your gift.
While we would love for everyone to join us in person, we completely understand that it may not be possible for everyone — with busy schedules, travel distances, and the extra planning it can take, especially for those coming from out of state. Please know how much we love and appreciate you for wanting to celebrate with us. For those unable to attend, we’ll be streaming the wedding on Zoom. Info is below. Step into the Roaring Twenties with us! Picture a Great Gatsby soirée — elegance, sparkle, and a dash of drama. Ladies, think sparkly dresses, art deco accessories, and maybe a bold red lip or vintage waves. Or go all out with beaded gowns, flowing fringe, long gloves, feathered headpieces, and sequins that shimmer under the lights — pure timeless glamour. Gentlemen, imagine tuxedos, suspenders, vests, bow ties, fedoras, or even a classic suit with a 1920s twist. A crisp white shirt, polished shoes, and a confident smile complete the look — sleek, stylish, and ready to dance the night away. Silhouettes: 1920s flapper dresses — bias-cut gowns, long gloves, fur stoles, and dramatic necklines. Fabrics: Silk, satin, velvet, and beaded chiffon — often in metallics or deep colors. Details: Sequins, rhinestones, fringe, feathers, and fur wraps. Accessories: Finger-wave hairstyles, jeweled headpieces or hats, opera gloves, pearls, and feather fans. Inspiration: Think Billie Holiday or Josephine Baker in her later stage looks — luxe, glamorous, and commanding.
