Burlington is a small city full of opportunities for fun. Although many things are closed right now, you can still check out the waterfront, sit outside at a brewery or stroll Church Street. Heading down Pine Street will give you a feel of the "local" scene.

Access the Wildlife Refuge from Tabor Road or by kayaking, paddle boarding, etc. from Hog Island. It is a great place to wander, explore and see Vermont's wildlife in action.

Our go-to place for provisions on the island, you can find almost anything you need at Hog Island Market, including worms for fishing, ice cream and branded sweatshirts and hats to commemorate your visit.

You will drive through Swanton on your way to Hog Island. It is the closest town with all necessary amenities. (Be sure to wave at the swans in the park as you drive by!)
