Vow Renewal Ceremony

We met in December 2007 at Mariah's Restaurant where I was a server and Jim was a customer. Jim left me a note on my birthday, January 14th, 2008. (He did not know it was my birthday.) I was under the impression that he wanted to speak with me about Olivia, his daughter, who also worked at Mariah's. Olivia was not getting a lot of hours as a hostess and Jim was very vocal about this. I didn't really want to talk to him about this since it really didn't involve me and there was nothing I could do to help. However, I knew if I didn't call him by the weekend he would be back in the restaurant. So I picked up the phone and called him on Friday, January 18th. Yes, I made him wait 4 whole days! He answered the call and we talked for about an hour. Olivia's situation never came up. During the next few days we spoke on the phone quite a lot. I don't recall exactly how it happened, but he must have asked to take me out. I made him wait a few days again! On January 24th, a very cold and bitter night, we went on our first date. We drove there separately and when I stepped out of the car, my gloved hand some how slipped right into his like it was "home". From this first date we knew this was a wonderful beginning to a lifetime of happiness. On September 27th, 2009 we joined our families, my three amazing boys and a sweet little girl with his five beautiful daughters. I felt so blessed to be gifted with this large family! Don't let me fool you. There have been many high and many lows. But one thing holds true, through it all we are meant to be together. On that bitter, cold January night in 2008 my heart was filled with warmth and love like I have never felt. After ten years of marriage we are renewing our vows to let each other and the ones we love the most know that through it all we would choose this life again and again. Looking back we have done a lot of life together and Jim, there is no one else I would have chosen to be by my side.
