We're Getting Married!

Who would have thought two Bellarmine Grads would find their way to one another five years after graduation! Thank goodness for dating apps and the "Hey I know him" thought that came about after swiping right. From five dates in the first five days of knowing each other to walking down the aisle! There are so many exciting memories to come!

Chris pulled off the most perfect engagement! Elaine had mentioned once that she wanted her family and friends to be able to celebrate their engagement because having our people support our love is the best thing in the world! Chris was able to accomplish her dreams and more! What started as Hartlage Family Photos quickly turned into a day Elaine and Chris would never forget! After an hour of family photos, Chris asked the photographer if they could get pictures walking across the bridge. First up, was Chris and his mom Eileen. They sweetly held hands and walked across the bridge while the photographer snapped away! Next up, Chris grabbed Elaine's hand and started to walk across the bridge. Elaine made some kind of sassy remark, asking Chris if he was going to hold his dad's hand across the bridge next. Chris laughed at Elaine's comment and then stopped halfway across the bridge and pointed straight ahead. Elaine squinted in the direction of Chris' pointed finger and confusedly exclaimed, "Is that my family?!" Elaine's family were walking out of the woods towards them on the bridge! At that moment, Elaine felt Chris let go of her hand and take a step back. The rest was a blur of tears, the sweetest most meaningful proposal, cheers, and popping champagne on the bridge in the middle of a park! After more photos and celebrations between both the Hartlage and Surdyke families Elaine's mom suggested they all go get a drink to continue the festivities! Little did Elaine know, as soon as they walked into the restaurant their closest family and friends were all there to celebrate with them!!
