Flight
You may fly from nearly every major city into St. Martin (SXM) or you may elect to fly into Anguilla (AXA) by changing planes in San Juan (SJU). Once in St. Martin, Anguilla is an 18-minute ferry ride to Blowing Point ferry terminal in Anguilla. Please visit the link for international flight information.
Travel Note
To be considered “vaccinated”, you will have to show proof of vaccination at least 3 WEEKS before your arrival date. Yes, for those getting 2 shots, that requires the 2nd shot be 3 weeks before your arrival date (example, if your arrival date is 6/23, you need proof of full vaccination before 6/2). If you cannot meet this requirement, you’ll be considered “unvaccinated” – and official govt guidance requires you to a) sit completely apart from vaccinated guests, b) socially distance 3 feet during all events, and c) wear a mask during all events. Please, please reach out to us to discuss your individual situation if you are not able to get vaccinated within the set guidelines – and we can prepare accordingly.
Travel Note
For now, nothing has changed. Trust us that we are working closely with the hotel and government to try to relax restrictions and lower the entry fees. But, realistically, it’s better if we assume the status quo remains. That entails: a) a negative PCR test taken within 5 days before arrival, b) an online application to apply for entry into St Maarten (with a $30 insurance fee) with the negative result, then c) an online application to apply for entry into Anguilla ($300 first person + 200 additional which covers the additional arrival/departure tests still required and administered on site). We know all this sounds like a lot, but we did this exact process for our baby-moon in Turks & Caicos in November, and it’s much easier than it sounds. You can order PCR tests online, or get them at any urgent care/testing facility. And if you are worried about the entry fees, please don’t let them affect your ability to attend our wedding – reach out to us directly and we’re happy to help.
Travel Note
When you arrive in Anguilla, you’ll be given a COVID test. Technically, you are not allowed to leave your room until you receive a negative test result approximately 6-12 hours later. This policy remains in place, and is why we recommend our guests arrive Wednesday the 23rd if they for sure want to attend our first event on Thursday, the 24th. Separately, Anguilla works under the policy of a 7 day “quarantine bubble” which has created some confusion– BUT TO BE CLEAR, ALL OUR EVENTS WERE PRESELECTED TO BE INSIDE THE QUARANTINE BUBBLE, THEREFORE ARE NOT IMPACTED. You are just not allowed to go outside the designated bubble of islands, restaurants, beaches, hotels and such; but everything we have organized is completely WITHIN the quarantine bubble.
