Our Story

We met on Hinge, the dating app “designed to be deleted” in 2022! After a few weeks of texting, we went on the greatest first date. With no other plans but a brunch date, Rory picked me up, and we went to the restaurant Red Cow in downtown Minneapolis. Afterwards we went to a brewery where I chugged my first IPA to impress Rory (it worked). We later spontaneously bought tickets to a Twins game (also another first for me). After the game we went back to Rory’s apartment to watch the Timberwolves play. I also brought my ukulele and we sang “River” by Leon Bridges together for the first time! After that day, we were inseparable! We have been blessed to experience so much since we started dating. From trips up north, to Florida, California, the Dominican Republic, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Spain, Portugal, and back home, our shared love for traveling and making new memories is what keeps our relationship exciting. Nonetheless, the “everyday” things of sharing dinner together, binge watching new shows, and playing mini golf are equally as special. We were put through the ultimate test of any relationship in September of 2025 when Rory suffered a cardiac arrest. Through the sleepless nights, immense anxiety and fear, and countless doctor’s appointments, we persevered. It's been incredibly challenging but we have always leaned on one another through it all and agreed to not let this moment scare us from living our best life. In January of 2026, we bought our first home in Saint Louis Park. In April of 2026, Rory proposed in Tokyo, Japan, right in front of the Tokyo Tower, where we visited 2 years prior on our first trip to Asia. Everything was picture perfect. (And for the record, Rory had the ring before the cardiac arrest happened!). We are extremely excited to see what the future has in store for us and to celebrate with our friends and family!
