Kayleigh was having a friendsmas party at her house where their mutual friend, Taylor reached out to Sunny to roll through. Hesitant at first, Sunny wasn't sure. However, with no other plans that evening he decided, "why not." At the party, Kayleigh and Sunny would be re-united again for the first time in a while. Amidst the events and games that were being played, Sunny told Amazon Alexa to play "Tennessee Whiskey." This was also one of Kayleigh's favorite songs and the two would turn the living room into a karaoke floor. At last, the spark was lit. And, so was the party. Adding to the romance that was brewing came an energetic and cheerful french-english bulldog. Sunny asked Kayleigh what her name was and she said "Daeny, short for Daenerys Stormborn Targaryen." Sunny's jaw dropped as he finally met a fellow Game of Throner that was nerdier than him. They continued to share their love of Game of Thrones going over different scenes and predicting what was going to happen in the upcoming new season. Although it was a winter night, it was love that was coming instead. After the friendsmas party, Kayleigh, Sunny, and their friends went to a nearby bar and grill to play pool and darts. While at the bar and grill, Kayleigh needed help in getting out of a situation. She quickly approached Sunny and told him she need a "fake" boyfriend and they both stepped outside. Then, they "fake" hugged in their best attempt to win the Oscars and looked into each other's eyes. At this moment, they both knew they saw something special in each other. Time had stopped and love was in the air. This was the beginning of their happily ever after story.

Kayleigh and Sunny met as kindergarten crushes at Olivia Park elementary. They would remain acquaintances during this time as they both were still too shy to talk to each other. Remember, this was the time of cooties and they didn't want to catch the "C" virus. Kayleigh would become close elementary friends with Sunny's cousin Anu, where Kayleigh would come over for birthday parties. At the time, these were Sunny's favorite birthday parties where he would get to play backyard games like freeze tag or cops & robbers with his crush. They would both go on to the same middle school, where Kayleigh would help share her math homework with Sunny. It's true, Kayleigh was the math expert and they still have the yearbook autographs to prove it. Time would go on as Kayleigh and Sunny would continue to cross paths at school and after college. There was truly a magical connection between the two that was just waiting for the perfect spark.

The stage was set at Ruby Beach. Sunny had set up a beautiful Game of Thrones themed proposal by the ocean behind one of the large sea stack rocks. There were dragon eggs, candles, lava rocks that helped shape a heart, rose petals, and Kayleigh’s favorite…drift wood. Even the ring box had a dragon on it! Everything was going well and as Sunny had planned, except that Kayleigh and her best friend Sophia were running late. The tide was starting to come up and while Sunny wasn’t too nervous yet, he began building a dam with sand and rocks to try and prevent the proposal decor from being washed up. Finally, Kayleigh and Sophia were spotted and cell phone service wasn’t the greatest at the beach, so the hope was they would walk the right way. The tide continued to crawl closer and closer to the proposal site. Luckily, Kayleigh and Sophia began walking the correct way! As Kayleigh and Sophia got closer to the proposal site, Kayleigh’s family hid behind rocks. Kayleigh began to walk closer to the sea stack that Sunny was hiding behind. Sunny walked around the sea stack just as Kayleigh approached it. It was beautiful. The sun was illuminating the proposal site behind Sunny as he “bent the knee” for Kayleigh. Surrounded by Kayleigh’s family and Daeny, Sunny delivered a beautiful speech as Kayleigh joyfully cried, “duh!” when Sunny popped the question. Kayleigh and Sunny GOT engaged!
