Sunny’s oldest daughter Hayley and her niece Hannah thought it would be funny to sign her up for a dating website. After multiple messages from some not-so-tempting-suitors, Sunny was ready to delete her dating website profile after only two weeks. She logged in to delete the account when she saw a message from a guy named Jason, who also lived in Silt, CO. His message was simple. “We live in the same dirt town of Silt.” Sunny gave Jason her phone number and they’ve been together over six years now. Jason and Sunny spent the first month getting to know each other over text messages. After two weeks, Jason asked her out to dinner. With every intent on going to meet him in real life, Sunny cancelled at the last minute. They continued to text every day, and after 2 more weeks, Sunny asked Jason if he was ever going to ask her out again. They went on their first date January 21, 2011. Jason took her to the Belly Up in Aspen, CO to see the Reverend Horton Heat. (Sunny tried very hard to cancel this date, too, but Jason persisted!) Jason picked Sunny up at her sister’s house, with about 15 family members waiting there to meet him. Surprisingly, Jason didn’t run away! They’ve been inseparable ever since they became an official couple ten days later. “I more than like you” quickly turned to “I love you.” Jason met Sunny’s three children- Hayley, Jessica and Nathan, soon after that first date. He stepped in very naturally as a father figure to the kids. Things moved very quickly and they moved into a home together. They welcomed their baby girl, Charli on May 30, 2013. Jason proposed to Sunny in November 2015. She said YES!! These two share an endless love and are best friends. They are looking forward to sharing their wedding day with those they love!
