Maid of Honor
Brittany and I have been friends for over ten years. She's the one who is "the calm one" of our group. I can always count on Brittany to bring me down when I'm wound up, offer a kind word or a good belly laugh when I've had the crappiest of days and a good time when I need to let my hair down. "B" is is as loyal is the day is long and honest to fault. We don't typically go more than a few days without talking before our separation anxiety kicks in. Mostly, though, she's a sister-friend; and I sure am blessed to call her mine.
Bridesmaid
Oh, where do I begin? Our friendship is much like having a sister separated at birth. We skipped the shared genetic makeup and growing up in the same household; but a friendship by choice is often stronger than relationships by birth. Shortly after meeting we became best buds and not much has changed. Well, a lot has changed but our friendship remains. Holly and I have been through more in a decade than most go through in a lifetime. I figure if our friendship can withstand us at our worst, then I can't wait to live life and see what happens next. Holly is one of the most genuine, kind and selfless people I know. You can't find a better lifelong friend. #pollyandbunny
Bridesmaid
Rachel is my beautiful, kind, cry baby friend. She's cries a lot, good or bad. Well, she used to any way. She's still a crier but motherhood may have toughened her up a little. Rachel and I became friends by nothing more than fate. We can bicker like sisters (probably because we're both so stubborn and head strong) but always love each other just the same. She's my soul mate and God sure knew what He was doing when He gave me Rachel. (insert fist pump emoji with "California Love" playing)
Honor Attendant
Brooklyn is the oldest of Paul's twin girls. She basically IS Paul with blonde hair and blue eyes in a female body. This girl has an infectious personality that will lead her great places. She is hysterically funny, honest and one of the kindest children I've ever met. This little one stole my heart five years ago and I never got it back.
Honor Attendant
Berkeley, aka "Birdie", is my sweet girl. She is the sensitive one, often recognized as the one being most like her sweet grandmother Jane (aka "Mimi"). Birdie is a bit silly, will talk your ear off and is the best cuddler around. She has the sweetest soul and is always so thoughtful of others. How Blessed I am to be apart of her life, watching her grow, change and experience life.
Best Man
Trace is Paul's thirteen year old son. He is handsome, protective, kind and funny, just like his daddy. When Paul and I started talking about wedding planning, he immediately told me he would ask Trace to be his best man. I was quite shocked at first. I assumed he'd ask one of his lifelong friends or his father. When I asked him why he chose Trace, his response was quite simple. "He is my son and I want him proudly standing next to me when I marry you." This young man is so very special to me. I thank God for Trace every day because being a part of his life has made me a better person. I can't wait to see watch him turn into a man and live a life of his own!
Groomsman
Briley and Paul have been friends for almost the entirety of their lives. Briley is Paul's hunting partner, confidant and dear friend. This is one of those freindships where its best described as "if walls could talk". I can only imagine the stories these two could tell. You'd need all night to hear them. I guarantee you there will be lots of laughs! Briley is a man of God, a father, husband and dear friend to Paul. We are both Blessed to have such a wonderful man be a part of our wedding.
Groomsman
While Trell has been friends with Paul the shortest amount of time of all his groomsmen, these two are likes peas in a pod. Those two talk on the phone every morning, evening and countless times throughout the day. Trell has been a great supporter of Paul's faith journey and sobriety. I know I speak for not only myself, but also Paul's parents, when I say how grateful we are to have Trell as true friend to Paul and a brother in Christ.
Groomsman
Martin is probably one of the funniest, most down to earth people I've ever met. He, Paul and Briley Tomlinson have been best friends for years and years. Those three are the ultimate hunting buddies, joksters, and best buds. Even if they go months without seeing each other, they reunite as if no time has passed. I picture Paul and Martin being old men sitting in a duck blind one day telling stories of "the good ole days". I know they'll be friends forever.
Groomsman
Yes, I had to put "The Kid" in his name because for the first two years of knowing Paul, I didn't know The Kid's last name. He is Paul's business parter, one of his best friends, and the best guy! He's as sweet and funny as the day is long and as loyal of a friend as you'll ever find. He never fails to tell us he loves us when he calls and the feeling sure is mutual. We love you Kid!
