It all began in December 2023 when we went to breakfast in my hometown of Morehead City. We were both there with our families, simply tagging along, but we quickly felt a connection, especially after realizing we both lived in Charlotte! In January 2024, we met up for coffee and spent hours talking and getting to know each other. Over the next few months, we went on several dates, but ultimately decided it was best to remain friends. We went our separate ways for a season, checking in only occasionally throughout the year. Everything changed in May 2025 when Anthony reached out and made it clear that he wanted to intentionally pursue me. I was hesitant at first, but with encouragement from my friends, I decided to give it a chance. It did not take long for our feelings to grow, and with each date, it became clear that we were falling for one another and were excited about what was ahead! After Anthony asked me to be his girlfriend, we entered a fun and busy season of dating filled with weekends spent with our families, traveling, and chasing new adventures together. One of my favorite dates was dinner followed by watching planes at the airport overlook. That night, Anthony told me he loved me for the first time during an evening filled with sweet and intentional conversations. One of Anthony’s favorite dates was taking me back to my hometown for a sailboat cruise, where we enjoyed beautiful views and time on the water together! In February 2026, Anthony asked me to marry him. After months of planning and prayer, the moment finally came, and I said YES. We celebrated that evening surrounded by friends and family, overflowing with gratitude and joy. The Lord has faithfully orchestrated every step of our journey, and we are so excited to step into this new season of marriage, becoming one under God.
