The Sun and the Moon

They met in the lobby of the Vine Theatre in Livermore in August 2013. Back then, they were just two strangers from two different groups of people who all were displeased with the midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show. When David and his friend, Megan, overheard Nicholas’s friend group complaining to the manager, David and Megan knew they all needed a midnight donut pick me up. So they invited the group, Nicholas included, to join them down at the Donut Wheel. The rest of that summer was spent hanging out as one large group having a blast and being young. David and Nicholas, while attracted to each other even then, had no idea that 7 years later, amidst a global pandemic, they would reconnect and finally kindle the sparks of their fondness for each other into a romance. Now, 11 years after first meeting, that romance is a love and they are not just fast friends but a family.
