Come celebrate love and togetherness!

I was working at a hospital as a Locum's hospitalist when some of the nurses were telling me a NP would be working with me that week that I should meet because she was sweet and single. I told them at this point I'm done dating. So when Kati came to work that evening I introduced myself as above and she responded as above. After a few seconds of awkward silence I cracked some stupid joke like I always do and she responded with something smart like she always does. We had great banter the rest of the time we worked together and as soon as I left I added her on facebook. We started talking on facebook for a few days while she was on a vacation with her friends in Miami and I asked her if she wanted to go on a date with me when she got back in town. She luckily said yes! By the end of the date I was hooked and the next few months solidified that she was the one I had been waiting for my whole life. All the heart breaks and let downs, all the false accusations against me, all the mistakes I actually made were behind me finally. I knew she was the woman I wanted to spend life with in this incarnation and the next 7. I started planning how I was going to propose and took some help from her two closest people, Erin and Jen, and we finally were able to confirm the best engagement scenario would be on Thanksgiving with her family there. I of course made sure to ask her father for permission per tradition, and the love her mother showed me always was taken by me as her permission. I proposed during a game of charades with the family, and thank god she said yes because I was really nervous she would realize she is too good for me!
