It all started in October of 2017 a few months after Sarah moved to Christian's hometown of Brooklyn, NY. We both swiped right and began an incredibly boring conversation about being graphic designers in NYC before agreeing to meet for the first time. We met at a mutual favorite local dive bar, Mission Dolores, Christian had a dog in tow — smart man. From there we became growingly inseparable planning dates, adventures and travels together before moving into a beautiful apartment in the summer of 2019. Our life planning continues, with our pups, Marina and Valley constantly by our sides. We are so in love with one another and are incredibly excited to celebrate our marriage with our families and friends in July of 2022. Woo!

During a visit with some friends up in the Hudson Valley, we went on a gorgeous snowy hike. The trail snaked through the trees along a small creek that ran down the mountain side. The snow was thick but we were well-equipped with snow pants and crampons to keep us dry and from slipping. When we got to our "top" some friends laid out a nice tarp for hanging out and we explored the setting. There was a questionably frozen reservoir that Marina and dog companions were frolicking on. At the edge of the reservoir was a dam that our friends asked us to take a picture of them on, then we did the old switch-a-roo so they could take our picture. After the first picture, Christian fumbled into his pocket, produced a ring box and got on one knee to ask Sarah to marry him. She replied with "Really?! Yeah!" Tears were shed, cheers from friends rang out, champagne was popped and all was wonderful!
