It was 2017. Jake and Emily were living with their friends, across the hall from each other in the Americana B apartments at Michigan State University. Many fun nights were had with the two groups as Jake and Emily remained friends. In the summer of 2019 Jake and Emily were reconnected at the LifeTime Gym in Lincolnshire, IL. Emily was nannying before her student teaching and Jake was in his internship at Grainger before his senior year. They talked about moving to Chicago one day and said they would hang out if they both ended up there. Fast forward to October 2020 and both had finally moved to the city. Jake invited Emily to a party at his house and Emily invited Jake to a friend's housewarming to introduce him to some friends. Little did they know that would be the start of the best years. After months of hanging out, Jake asked Emily to be his girlfriend. They have been together going on adventures ever since. In January 2026, Jake popped the question and thus began the next part of our journey together. We are so excited for all the adventures to come and all the people who will join us along the way!! July 31, 2027 here we come!!
