Is there parking?

Answer

Yes! If you are staying at our hotel block at Best Western Newberg Inn, you will have complimentary parking at the hotel. For guests staying elsewhere, parking is available at Promise Church (23330 SE Fulquartz Landing, Dundee, OR 97115). A shuttle will pick up hotel guests at 3:15 PM at Best Western Newberg Inn and then pick up guests at Promise Church at 3:30 PM before heading to the venue. We recommend arriving at the parking locations a few minutes early to ensure a smooth departure.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, the dress code is formal. We’d love to see our guests dressed in elegant attire—think suits, tuxedos, evening gowns, or cocktail dresses. We’re calling it “Dressy, Classy, and Sassy”! The ceremony will be outdoors (unless Mother Nature has other plans), and the cocktail reception will flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. Dinner and dancing will be indoors. (To honor Chinese tradition, please avoid wearing red, as it’s a color reserved for the bride and groom.)

What food will be served?

Answer

During cocktail hour, indulge in charcuterie boards with cured meats, cheeses, fruits, nuts, olives, jams, and crackers, along with herby mushroom tarts, prosciutto-wrapped pears, and wood-fired shrimp skewers. For dinner, guests will start with a selection of fresh salads: pesto pasta salad, spinach & strawberry salad, and Greek salad. For the entrée, guests will choose one option when they RSVP: • Steak with house-made chimichurri sauce • Citrus salmon with Castelvetrano olive • Polenta-stuffed pepper with vegetable succotash and chimichurri sauce (vegetarian)

Are there any colors I should avoid wearing?

Answer

To honor Chinese tradition, please avoid wearing Red, as it’s a color reserved for the bride and groom. And of course we do not advise wearing White as that will take away from our special day.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests arrive at least 15 minutes before the ceremony start time at 4:00 PM. This will give you time to find your seat and settle in before we begin. We don’t want you to miss a single moment of our special day, so please plan accordingly and aim to arrive a bit early!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Your safety is our top priority. Please reach out to Zishan or Nicholas to let us know about your allergy, its severity, and any dietary restrictions. We’ll make sure to accommodate your needs so you can enjoy the celebration worry-free!

Do you have any lodging recommendations?

Answer

Del Mar Villa is surrounded by a variety of hotel, bed & breakfast, and Airbnb options to suit all preferences. However, accommodations in the area tend to book up quickly, especially during the summer. We recommend securing your stay as early as possible to ensure you have a comfortable place nearby to enjoy the celebration.
