As we get ready to walk Jackie down the aisle, it is hard to sum it all up... the smiles, the tears, the worry, the laughter, the pride, and all the grey hair. From the day she arrived Jackie has been a ray of sunshine, and of course, "in da way". We loved her then, we love her now, and we will love her always. It seems like only yesterday that you came into our lives.It’s hard to believe 28 plus years ago you entered this world, our first born. As the years passed by, we watched you grow into a focused, determined and respectful young man. Remembering back as you were growing up, how inquisitive you were at how things worked. Always examining the workings of rides. Which turned into you reaching for the star’s, with a PHD in Materials Engineering. As you enter the next journey of your life, with the one you love. Remember, it’s a joint adventure of love, laughs, joys, trials and tribulations. There will be mountains to climb and valleys to soar over. Jackie and I met when we were 12 and we've been best friends since. I will always get annoyed when people ask her how tall she is, and she will get equally as annoyed when people ask me to pronounce my name for the 50th time. I can't wait for Kodi to be stuck hearing both of those questions forever too!

I’ve known Kodi since first grade. He moved away in jr. high and I felt like I lost one of my best friends. Since then we've met up on vacations or during the holidays and made some of my favorite memories. I'm so grateful to have friends like Kodi and can’t wait to see what happens next for him and Jackie.

I met Jackie my first semester at UNR after running into each other at a frat party, where we were totally sober... we climbed on the roof and talked for a long time as she introduced me to the world of frat guys, UNR and Greek life. We went on to have many classes together, since both of us were Communications majors. One such class being Com 217 argument and debate, and to my recollection she won every debate she was in... good-luck Kodi!
