Cody met Faith when he asked her to dance at SUU's swing dance club. Faith had been consistently dancing for around two and a half years while this was only Cody's third time. Faith, however, met Cody a year and a half earlier when they had class together their first college semester. In fact, they had had three classes together and even were in a group project the week before Cody met Faith.

After taking Faith out to dinner, Cody planned to impress Faith with his mad ax-throwing skills (he'd been once before, her never). Some friendly competition and a lot of smack talk later, Cody discovered Faith is good at most things she tries and he only won one game.
