20 Years Strong

They reunited at the Thornton Township High Schools 20th year reunion."Of course Summer you have to go," says Carmen Armstrong. The only reason why Summer even bothered to show up at the reunion. "I have an extra ticket and I’ll hold it for you at the door and, and..." Ok, Ok," said Summer. Summer made plans to make sure she would be there. Pam arrived to the celebration on time and was already having a great time. Her date had canceled the previous day so she brought her best friend with so he could have some fun. Drinks were flowing, everyone was dancing and photos were being taken. It was turning out to be a great night. Summer arrives via Uber 2 hours before the end of the party. To her surprise the bar was still open, so she took a stroll over to the bar and there Pam was. With a big smile and a hug, each went on with the rest of the evening, sharing laughs and dancing the last two hours away. By the end of the night, Summer and Pam realized the party was coming to an end. Long story short, Summer needed a ride and being the good earth steward that she is, she asked around to see if anyone was going her way. Carpool time. Summer was in luck. Pam had come to her rescue. "I can take you home." "Are you going near 63rd?" "We can. Come on, I'm taking you home." And sure enough just like that one of Pam's good friend's pulled up. They both got in the car and proceeded to take Summer home. Let's just say, Summer and Pam ended up getting rather close in the car that night. As Summer sat on Pams' lap in the back seat. They both realize that there must be something more between them. Little did they know it was love.

The Proposal

Fast forward 3 years to Summer's birthday. It was a night filled with smoked old fashion's, candles and fabulous food at Bone Fish Grille in Orland. They were at the bar enjoying the last of Summers' birthday meal. Pam grabs the togo left over bag. She then helps Summer with her sweater and leads her to the door and they leave the restaurant. Upon arriving at the car Pam opens Summers' door and proceeds to kneel down on one knee and opens a box with a ring and then hands her a paper note with "Will you marry me? check box, yes or no” written on it. A school note. How precious. Of course Summer said YES! Kisses and tears flowing. A quick pic to document the moment and they were now truly committed and ready to take this next step.
