In a world of 8 billion people, the probability of finding your perfect match is statistically slim — but our story proves that outliers do exist. We met in a graduate statistical consulting course where the roles were clearly defined: he was the instructor and she was the student. While we were supposed to be focusing on p-values and linear regressions, we discovered a much more important variable: an undeniable connection. What started as office hours and datasets quickly evolved into a partnership that defied the odds. Today, we are both professional statisticians, but our favorite work happens away from our laptops. From mountain peaks to remote trails, we’ve traded our algorithms for hiking boots, proving that while we love a good trend line, our favorite adventures are the ones we can't predict.
