When should I RSVP by?
Answer
Please RSVP no later than July 16th, 2025.
Question
What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 pm. Please arrive no later than 4:15 pm to avoid distractions during the ceremony.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
The dress code is cocktail/semi-formal. Ladies: dressy jumpsuits or cocktail dresses. Men: Suit or dress shirt/coat with slacks. Please no jeans/denim pants and no white/cream/ivory.

Can I bring a date?
Answer
In order to keep the wedding an intimate event with close family and friends, we will not be allowing plus ones unless otherwise indicated on your invitation or RSVP.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
As much as we love your children, we unfortunately cannot accommodate everyone's children at our wedding. This pertains to children of all ages. Please refer to your RSVP to see if we can accommodate your children. If not, we hope you take this as an opportunity to take the night off and celebrate with us.

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony and reception will be held inside. We have access to outdoor areas to enjoy some fresh air during cocktail hour and reception!

Will there be an open or cash bar?
Answer
Our bar will be free to guests 21+ and will include beer, wine, and 2 signature cocktails. Make sure to tip our bartenders. There will not be transportation provided after the reception, so be sure you have a safe ride home!

Will an uber get me to your venue?
Answer
Yes, an uber will get you to our venue! You are able to leave your car overnight, but please be sure to pick it up the next morning! Please plan for a designated driver, as this is a holiday weekend so rideshare services may be expensive or have long waits.

Is there an accessible entrance?
Answer
For those that are unable to take stairs or walk a long distance, there is an accessible entrance that will take you to the doors leading to the Picasso Room. Take a turn onto Thompson Avenue from Mellwood Avenue and the accessible entrance is the first road on the right. This small lot is also used for our vendors, so please do not overcrowd this lot.

Where is the other parking?
Answer
Other parking is located on the other side of Mellwood Avenue. If you park here, there is a set of stairs directly to the left of Mellwood Art Center. These stairs will take you to the side of the building where our room is located.

Will there be a hotel for me to stay at?
Answer
There are many hotels and Airbnb options in the area. Just search "hotels/Airbnb's near Mellwood Art Center." Please keep in mind this is Labor Day weekend, so please book your accommodations in advance!

Can I take pictures?
Answer
We are having an "unplugged ceremony," meaning no phones or cameras. We ask that you turn your phones off for the short ceremony in order to avoid distractions. We have hired professionals to capture our ceremony for us. After the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you like!

What if I can't make it?
Answer
You will be missed! Please indicate your regrets on your RSVP so we can plan accordingly. If you already RSVP'd attending, but cannot make it, please notify Summer at (502) 438-5868.

What if I missed the RSVP deadline?
Answer
Unfortunately, if you miss the RSVP deadline, you will be marked as "not attending." It is important that we give our vendors a final accurate headcount so we can ensure everyone will have food and a place to sit. You will be missed!
