As someone who has been to dozens of western Ohio weddings, I promise you the time will go faster than you think. You can check into the hotel (listed under Travel). You can check out one of the local hang out spots (listed under Things to Do). The wedding party will enjoy a drink at Patrick's Bar and Grill across from the church and hang our dollar bill on the ceiling, feel free to join. Or you can head on over to the reception hall and hang out until the wedding party arrives.
Please RSVP by September 10, 2021.
There is parking at both the church and the reception. If you are carpooling or leaving a vehicle at the church, please leave your vehicle at towards the north by the PAC center/ball diamonds because church services begin Saturday night into Sunday morning. If you are carpooling or leaving a vehicle overnight at the reception hall, please park on the north side of the hall away from St. Michael's Church.
I would recommend arriving to the ceremony at least 15 minutes early (1:15pm). Then, you can grab a seat, look through the program, get comfortable, and not feel awkward trying to sneak in as the bride is going down the aisle (we've been there).
Please refer to your wedding invitation. Children of the family and the wedding party are invited. Although, we would love to celebrate with all of our friends, families and their children, we have lots and lots of small children amongst us so we were unable to invite them all.
We met in high school at Paul Goettemoeller's "The Shack" in the middle of the woods. However, we didn't really become good friends until Jordan transitioned from OSU Lima to Main Campus in 2014. Jordan and Summer became best friends for their remaining time at OSU together and after. Jordan regularly fed Summer dinner with the Fam Group and visited Summer in Room 100.
Jordan is an acts of service person. He loves making incredible food for his friends and family to enjoy. We made a pack in college that if Jordan and Summer were not married or dating by 30, then we would marry each other. Jordan made an amazing pasta dish for dinner. After that, he got down on one knee and said "I know we promised we would wait until we were 30 to get married but I couldn't wait much longer" along with some other inside jokes. Summer joyfully said, "Absolutely, I will marry you. Yes!"
If you have been exposed to COVID or if you have COVID, we kindly ask you to not attend the wedding. We have several older guests attending and we want to keep everyone safe.
