Summer and Ian are both from Chautauqua - Mayville and Jamestown. Although they grew up just 20 minutes from one another, knew the same people, went to the same college (WE ARE... PENN STATE), and graduated the exact same year - their paths never crossed. Both Summer and Ian pursued their careers immediately after college. Ian moved to South Carolina/Georgia and Summer moved to Buffalo. Fast forward to 2022, Ian decided to move back North. But instead of going back to Mayville, he chose Buffalo. Not knowing that his future wife has started a life there. Ian had reached out to Summer on Instagram asking if he could take her out for dinner. In true Summer fashion, she made him work for it a little bit. It took her a few months to respond, but Ian was persistent (we can all laugh about this now haha). Summer finally gave in and decided to go on a date with Ian. That first date on August 21, 2022, consisted of sushi, music, a first kiss and the start of an epic love story. After the first time they officially met, the rest was history. They both knew that this was the real deal. Since 2022, they have created their beautiful family - Ian, Summer, Sonny Lou and Koda. They bought their first home together in Elma, NY that they continue to make their own. They were season ticket holders in Rich Stadium/The Ralph/Highmark and have carried over that tradition to the new Bills Stadium. They got engaged on the Bills field in front of their season ticket seats. They have created a life they both hoped and prayed for. This is a true testament to Gods timing - they grew up just a few miles from one another, went to the same college, knew people in the same friend groups - but somehow, in Buffalo, NY, they found their way to another. And thank God they did!
