We met thanks to some Valentine’s Day matchmaking at JMU. E.A. needed a date for his club baseball Valentine’s Day function, and Summer's roommate didn’t want to go alone. Summer's roommate told her date - one of E.A.'s roommates - to have E.A. invite Summer. We had never met before, so the very first time we saw each other was at the date function itself! That night turned into something pretty special. We hit it off immediately, even though E.A. graduated shortly after. When his job took him to Arlington and Summer was still finishing school at JMU, we started dating long-distance. We spent countless weekends driving up and down I-81 to visit each other. After Summer graduated, her career took her to Raleigh and then Charleston, and through every move and every mile, E.A. stayed by her side. Long-distance was never easy, but it always felt worth it. And now, all those miles have led us here. We couldn’t be more excited to celebrate with you - and we owe a very big thank-you to our roommates for the Valentine’s Day setup that started it all.
