Fresh out of pharmacy school I, Summer, moved back to the beach to start my career as a pharmacist. In the weeks between graduation and sitting for my boards I was working at a few different locations as a grad intern and everyone told me that I just had to meet this pharmacist, Corey, because he was so cute and funny and they all thought we would really hit it off. Well, they were right. I walked into work one day and he was there. He says when I walked in there was this glow around me and that he got absolutely nothing done for the rest of that day. We talked and laughed all day, though I really tried to keep him focused on work, and we kept in touch over the next few days leading up to me taking my board exams. I was working the night I found out that I had passed and was officially a licensed pharmacist. I looked up from my phone, announced it to everyone, and Corey and I shared this really awkward moment where we reached to hug each other but realized where we were and went in for the most awkward high-five ever instead. We celebrated that night with burgers at Rite Aid, and it felt so good to be with someone who understood and appreciated the magnitude of this accomplishment. He took me out for a very romantic first date and a proper celebration later that week, and the rest is history... Four years later we are still inseparable, still each other's biggest cheerleaders, and still laughing and enjoying life together with our two dogs. We had this all planned last year, but decided to elope on October 15, 2020 in a small beachside ceremony, so this is our big one year wedding anniversary celebration! It will be a wedding + reception, but its also a great time to get away and indulge our friends and family in the bliss that is New York City. We are so excited to celebrate with all of you. See you in October!
