We guess you could say the cheesy line of “high school sweethearts”. We walked the same halls and rode the same bus. The only thing…. Summer was a senior graduating in just 6 months and Cam was a freshman, only one week into his four year journey. Now when he told Summer he was a freshman she didn’t believe him. I mean he was taller than her, looked older then she did, and only a year younger than her. However as the weeks went on Cam walked Summer to all of her classes and she realized through all the loud freshman he was surrounded by he was telling the truth. We really didn’t know how it was going to workout with one of us being done with school and the other just starting. So we decided to be “just friends”. We were “just friends” for months. Our friends teasing us for always being together and talking constantly. Cameron was the first to say I love you. He ended up saying it 3 times and on the third time… Summer said it back. On October 17th 2021 Summer FINALLY agreed to start dating him. Just two kids holding on to the hope of knowing we wanted a life together one day. We took it day by day. Which turned into year by year. As we now are getting ready to stand hand in hand on our biggest day yet, we are so proud of the two little teenagers that decided not to give up on each other. As life and problems grew bigger so did our love for each other. And that is how we know we made the right decision holding on to each other. Because not only did we grow up together, but now we’ll get to grow old together and that will be the biggest adventure of it all!
