Nate and I met at Life.Church Yukon! He was their youth intern and I was their worship intern. I heard they had an intern already, and, of course, I found out everything I could about him before I started my internship. (Which honestly wasn’t much… this man had his Instagram profile on private.) When I finally met him in person I thought he was cute, but I definitely wasn’t going to make the first move!!! It wasn’t until a month in I guess my good looks and charm were enough for him and he gave me that good ol’ DM on Instagram asking to grab coffee. (I definitely didn’t scream and run down the stairs to tell my parents “the hot intern just asked me on a date!!!!”…) When we went to coffee we hit it off from there and haven’t missed a day talking since!!!

It all started while I was interning at Life.Church in Yukon, Oklahoma. I kept hearing from the staff about this new summer intern. And it wasn’t until the beginning of June when I figured out that the summer intern, was actually named SUMMER. Which is why they kept saying “The intern summer.” It all made sense. At the time, I was at the end of my internship and I was planning for at the movies which was a series at our church. I was in a place in life that I was just focusing on my life, but God has his way of doing things as we know. So whenever she walked through those doors the first day, I thought to myself, “You’re something else God.” Because she was the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever laid eyes on. It was only a few weeks after that I finally had the courage to ask her on a date. On Instagram. Yeah I was a chicken, so what? But she couldn’t say no because she loved me she just didn’t know it yet. The rest is history.
