Micah and Summer met for the first time at a place very near to both of their hearts, Kids of Victory Camps. Wisconsin is where the Novaks call home, but every year during the summertime, Micah and his family would come down to St. Louis to attend camp. It was always a very special and exciting time of the year when KOV rolled around, and everyone in the family looked forward to it. Summer, born and raised in St. Louis, had also grown up in Kids of Victory, attending year after year, but had never met Micah. Fast forward to the summer of 2022 . . . it is senior year, and Micah and Summer get put on the same team, and meet each other for the first time! They got to know one another through out the camp week, first as co-leaders, then as friends. Summer was sad when Micah went back home to Wisconsin. Micah, however, was not very sad, because he had a plan (as Micah usually does). He had no intention of letting this friendship-turned-something-more go. He texted Summer a lot after he went back home, and he and Summer slowly started calling more, and even facetiming occasionally. After a few months, Micah came down to St. Louis, showed up at Summers door with flowers, and asked her to be his girlfriend. The rest is pretty much history!!! Micah and Summer have been long distance ever since. There has been lots of coordinating, and planning, and scheming over the years, but praise be to God, Micah and Summer have been able to see each other more than they ever thought possible! Looking back, they both see God's hand of blessing in their relationship. They are excited to start this new journey together, and to finally, blissfully, never have to say goodbye!
