Famous caves in Cotignac where villagers used to shelter during times of epidemic, war, and invasion. Also a great lookout point for all of Cotignac.
The village has also become famous in recent years for its small microbrewery, La Tuf Craft Beer. Make sure to check out the brewery and sample some of the unique recipes and flavors. What’s more, the brewery put on events every week, such as live music, DJ sets, and tournaments.

Live the Provencal lifestyle and visit Aix-en-Provence, a popular university town just an hour by car from Cotignac. It has lots of shopping, bars and restaurants, and was home to famous post-impressionist painter, Paul Cezanne. From Aix-en-Provence there are a multitude of beautiful Provencal towns, wineries and outdoor activities that can be explored within a short drive.
There are endless amazing seaside towns just 1.5 hours from Cotignac - Nice, Cannes, Saint Tropez, Eze, Monaco, Menton (the list goes on!). Do note that some of the smaller towns in this area are going to be very quiet at this time of year as it is the French holiday off-season, however they are very easy to get to, especially if you are flying into Nice.
The closest coastal city in the South of France on the Cote d'Azur coastline, and massive! If you're going to take a day trip to Marseille, we recommend checking out Kin, an amazing North African restaurant and using le petit train to get to the famous basilica that overlooks the city. Heads up, Marseille is a bit grungier than other South of France cities, but still great for a day trip. If you're looking for something more posh, try a trip to Cannes or Nice.
