A sweet local bar and grill where we'll be hosting our wedding dinner. It's next door to where Hitchcock filmed "The Birds."
We've never been here, but it's close to where our wedding dinner will be taking place. We recommend booking here on Wednesday night if you're driving yourself; it's just minutes from where we'll be eating.
If you stay the night in Sonoma County on Wednesday, stop by these redwoods on Thursday. Make sure to look it up on your map before you head that way, as you'll likely lose reception. Simply beautiful!
Our dear friends, the local cafe and surf shop, which is open every day until 3 p.m. Go there for Kimchi Spam & Egg Musubi and Horchata Cold Brew.
Another great coffee shop and surf shop, right on Ocean Beach. Great place to grab a latte or a fancy coffee drink —we love the iced Snowy Plover (yes, it's named after a local bird), which is infused with sparkling water and homemade whipped cream.
Great local space that's generally open all day for coffee, yummy bites, and drinks. Happy hour is from 3-5 p.m., and we highly suggest their spritz.
An Outer Richmond gem, Simple Pleasures has been a mainstay local coffee shop and roaster since 1978. Go there rain or shine, night or day.
A very hip and sweet local coffee shop. They offer very yummy seasonal lattes.
Hands down, Summer's favorite neighborhood bakery. Get the Black Sesame Cappuccino along with an Egg Sandwich and/or Kaya Bun. Really, you can't go wrong with anything here.
Our favorite neighborhood pizza spot. There's often a line, so put your name in early and go on a walk. It's well worth the wait. Get the kale salad and pepperoni pizza, and finish it off with a cannoli.
Our favorite bottle shop. Get the very best wine, beer, and spirits from our dear friend Daniel. Open most nights.
The spot to go to for fish tacos. On a sunny day, it gets really busy, so order ahead online. While there is no seating, there's a great patio out front.
A super special old movie theatre in our neighborhood. Go there to see a new film or a throwback.
Here you can see redwoods and plants from around the world. A must-see in our opinion!
A historic greenhouse built in 1879. It is the oldest public wood-and-glass conservatory in North America, home to many interesting plant species.
One of the most incredible hikes in the city, which happens to be nearby. See the ocean, the bay, and (on a sunny day) the Golden Gate Bridge. The whole thing is about 4 miles.
An incredible art museum located right in Golden Gate Park. Lots of incredible pieces in here, as well as rotating exhibitions.
While a bit further away from our house, an incredible modern art museum. Worth the drive if you have the time.
Our very hip local wine-and-beer bar. Great place to people watch. Their happy hour is also 3 to 5 p.m.
Incredibly yummy local dumpling spot. Very small but lots of incredible traditional dishes.
Delicious Korean BBQ spot. Don't go in your favorite shirt, because you'll walk away happy and smelling smoky.
