It all started in April 2020, while we were both sheltering at home. I knew it was the real deal when we matched on two dating apps! After a few weeks of calls and creative virtual dates, I started receiving handwritten letters and postcards in the mail from this cute, thoughtful guy! Soon after, we met for coffee and a walk, and he was just as charming in person :) Two months later, Suresh asked me to be his girlfriend on my half birthday (I had no idea), with cake, half a dozen roses, and balloons during a romantic sunset picnic. I said yes (of course), and the rest is history!
A few weeks into getting to know Michelle, I knew that she was special and it had the potential to go the distance. Faith and family have always been my highest priorities and I was patiently waiting for someone who valued their faith and family as much as I did. Today, I can confidently say that with Michelle, I have found the right one! With a lot of prayer and the blessings of both of our families, I started planning out the proposal on a paper napkin. With an ongoing pandemic, the challenge was how we could safely celebrate in-person, with 130 of our loved ones? The plan was to transform my front yard into a socially distant, walk-through experience with various “stations” for our loved ones to interact with. Each station had a specific purpose and was carefully thought out to allow our guests to learn more about Michelle, myself and our families. With the help of our family and friends, on 4.3.21 I asked Michelle to marry me! Thankfully, she said yes :) View engagement photos here: https://zak-koltun-photography.client-gallery.com/gallery/suresh-and-michelle-proposal
