Sumer Sandel and Kyle Daley met in 2012 when Sumer was just out of high school and Kyle was in the Marine Corps. They met through each of their best friends–Keleigh (Beil) Thelen, Sumer’s best friend; and Keleigh’s brother Brian, who was Kyle’s best friend. At the time it looked like it was not meant to be, and they both had a lot of growing up to do. Five years later, Sumer and Kyle reconnected at a Diane Beil’s housewarming party. (Diane is Keleigh and Brian’s mom.) Since rekindling their romance, Sumer and Kyle have been on countless adventures over the years. They’ve camped, attended concerts and festivals, been on numerous road trips, and did some international travel, as well. They moved in together in 2019 and added their puppies Boogie and Sugaree in 2021. On the last day of summer 2022 (September 22nd), Kyle proposed to Sumer at Caloré, their favorite Italian restaurant in Denver. Kyle dropped to one knee and said… “Today is the last day of summer. I don’t want Sumer to end, I want Sumer “Daley” …to which Sumer said “yes”. And now, as Sumer and Kyle are starting their lives as husband and wife, you’ll get to meet the curators of this romance at the wedding…Keleigh as maid-of-honor, and Brian as the officiant.
