Don't be afraid to wear a bold color—that will help you fit in with the Indian guests who'll be dressed in vibrant colors and eye-catching jewelry! The bride traditionally wears red, but that color is also common amongst guests.
North Indian food—specifically food from Punjab is THE BEST! There will be vegetarian, as well as non-vegetarian dishes to try; everything is going to be served buffet-style, so try a little of everything! It’s SO tasty.

A sangeet is an amazing party with lots of music and dancing to celebrate the upcoming nuptials. Guests dress their best and wear lots of colorful outfits...along with their dancing shoes. Westerners are encouraged to wear Indian clothing; usually women wear a lengha, Anarkali suit, or a saree and men typically wear a sherwani, kurta pyjama, or tailored suit.
