Hi all! This is an update from us about how COVID-19 will be impacting our wedding events. Updated 8/23/2021. Our goal is to create a safe, memorable event that you are proud and comfortable to attend. As we're celebrating a union, I think it's fair to say that we're all in this together. That means that we're going to give it to you straight and that we’re relying on you to honor our wishes. The Situation: -Covid cases are elevated in Kansas City. -The Kansas City City Council voted on Friday by 10-2 to extend the indoor mask order until the week after our wedding events. There are three events we’re providing rules for here (excluding the Welcome Party and the Coffee & Pastries): Rehearsal Dinner: The rehearsal dinner will take place outside, under a 30'x60' tent, with flaps open. 120 guests will be present. Masks will not be required, but you are encouraged to wear them when you aren’t able to socially distance. Ceremony: The ceremony will take place in the same space. It will be larger, with 200-225 guests. Again, masks will not be required. Cocktail Hour & Reception: Finally, the reception, which is the only event that will take place indoors. We will be expecting 200-225 guests in a space that can accommodate 500. The hotel, at our enthusiastic request, will enforce the city’s ongoing indoor mask mandate. Misc. Notes: -General surgical masks will be available at all events for anyone who needs or wants one. -You can expect to see many guests in masks throughout each of the events. -The very few unvaccinated guests in attendance will be required to wear masks at all events. -We request that all guests take a Covid test and confirm it is negative before joining for the weekend's festivities.
